There was festive magic in the air this week as our wonderful Year 3 and Year 4 children brought joy, music, and plenty of Christmas spirit to the residents of St Clare’s Care Home.

Armed with confidence, enthusiasm, and voices that had been beautifully rehearsed, the children performed a selection of seasonal songs that lit up the room. From cheerful Christmas favourites to gentle, heart‑warming carols, their singing created a truly special atmosphere. Smiles spread across the faces of residents and staff alike, with many joining in, tapping along, or simply soaking in the moment.

After their performance, the children spent time chatting with residents, sharing stories, spreading kindness, and offering the gift of companionship. These simple yet meaningful interactions are a perfect reflection of the values we hold so dearly at St Mary’s — community, compassion, and letting our light shine for others.

Our pupils left feeling proud of the joy they had brought, and staff at St Clare’s were full of praise for both their beautiful singing and their exemplary manners.

A huge well done to our brilliant Year 3 and Year 4 children. You represented St Mary’s with warmth, kindness, and grace — and you made us all incredibly proud.
